Parents will be required to take their child’s temperature every evening and morning and report it on a daily basis. Failure to do so may prevent your child from entering SAS campuses or buses.
The Daily Health Self Declaration Forms must be submitted through the SAS TMS App, including weekends.
For additional support, parents will find a video tutorial in the Transportation @SAS Folder in the Resources section in Schoology. Daily temperature reporting summary data information will be reported to the local government and SEC as needed.
Entry gates have been equipped with thermal imaging cameras. All students, faculty and staff will go through designated entry gates so that their temperature can be checked as they enter campus.
If there is a queue, students, faculty and staff will line up on the designated 1 meter spaced “Physical Distancing” markers outside the gate to maintain proper spacing as needed. SAS administration staff and security persons will be stationed in these areas to ensure proper queuing and spacing.
As students, pass through the entry points, security personnel will check the following:
Confirm and scan students valid SAS ID
Confirm the temperature scan is below 37.3°C
If the temperature scan is at or above 37.3°C, students, faculty and staff go to secondary screening. Additional details have been outlined in the Medical Response Protocols for each campus.
In light of the current heightened risk level and government scrutiny associated with close contacts, we are not permitting parents on campus for events until further evaluation. When permitted in the future, parents & visiting students who are invited to campus for any upcoming activity must:
Have no symptoms (fever, cough, fatigue, etc.)
Obtain a negative NAT test within 48 hours of returning to Shanghai from a low risk area, if they have travelled outside of the city in the past 14 days
Print, complete and submit a signed SAS commitment letter at the gate – One (1) required for each student/parent
Present an SAS Parent ID card and wear visibly on campus during the visit – Non-SAS parents must wear a SAS visitor’s badge at all times while on campus
Scan below and show a green Travel Health Code that indicates you have not traveled to any medium or high risk areas. When applicable for students with cell phones. Required for all parents
Have temperature checked before entering campus
Wear a mask when entering campus and during the entire event (if indoors only)
